Pre-owned Rolex Date ref 1501 (1979) flies under the radar with a subtle 34mm Oyster case and stainless steel finish. However, what it lacks in case size, it makes up for with thoughtful design elements. For example, the case is surrounded by a vintage engine-turned bezel featuring alternating smooth and textured segments. Each smooth segment lines up harmoniously with the indices below on the dial, creating a mesmerizing and almost sunburst effect. As an older model used Rolex, this ref. 1501 also sports Tritium, which has aged on this model to a lovely yellowish patina.
